Rumson Fair Haven High School Ice Hockey

Phil O’Brien is a freshman looking forward to his first season. He discovered hockey just a few years ago.  Phil used to play baseball and was set on playing that in high school. He had elbow problems and needed surgery. It was his doctor who recommended that Phil play ice hockey because it was such a great sport. 

 

Phil loves to play on the pond in the winter. He started out playing in the house league in the Red Bank Armory, now plays at Middletown Ice World.

 

Phil plays defense and loves every minute of it. Phil’s favorite NHL team is the New York Rangers and his favorite player is Ryan McDonagh.
