Rumson Fair Haven High School Ice Hockey

John Monteferrante #17, FORWARD: a Junior at RFH, John has played Varsity hockey for the Bulldogs since his Freshman year.   John’s hockey interest began at 4 years of age and started playing travel hockey, from Mite to Midget, with three different youth hockey programs including the Greenwich Blues, Warwick Wildcats and currently Red Bank Generals Tier 1 AAA program.  A strong two-way player with exceptional speed, work ethic and hockey sense; John looks forward to help lead the Bulldogs to a successful season in 2014.   

 

Career highlights include helping advance his Bantam and Midget travel teams in 2012 and 2013 beyond the state finals to the National Tournament in North Carolina and Virginia where he proudly represented New Jersey.  John was also the second highest points leader at the 2013 Midget National tournament.  John was invited and played in three Junior U20 Elite and Premier Tournaments in Boston this past summer where he was exposed to the next level of hockey. 

 

His favorite NHL team is the NY Rangers and favorite player is #17 Ryan Kesler of the Anaheim Ducks.  John also plays on the Bulldogs Varsity tennis team during the Spring season.
